Inquiry-Based Learning
Description
Collaborative first lesson of a leadership course. The jumping off point is the YouTube video about Erik Weihenmayer's experience in being the first blind person to summit Mt. Everest. The ensuing discussion maps the journey onto a projection of the mountain. This interactive lesson engages participants in critical thinking, inviting them to create the foundational list of the four roles of leadership, rather than listening to a one-way lecture.
